Roy Ka-Wei LEE
I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S). Prior to joining U of S, I was a Research Fellow at Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC) and an Adjunct Faculty at School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU), teaching the undergraduate course IS424: Data Mining and Business Analytics.
My research journey began at Singapore Management University, where I had obtained the full suite of qualifications; Bachelor, Masters, and Ph.D. Degree in Information Sytems, on fully funded scholarships from the university. During my Ph.D. studies, I was also fortunate to be advised by Professor Lim Ee-Peng.
My research lies in the intersection of data mining, machine learning, and social computing. In particular, I am interested in studying user behaviours diffusion across multiple social networks and building explainable social recommender systems for online social platforms.
We do offer scholarships to outstanding students enrolled in our Masters and Ph.D. programmes. If you are a hardworking student who has keen interests to do research on data mining, machine learning, recommender systems, and social networks analysis, do drop me an email!
